On our way to see the Sintra Palace we stopped here at the Moorish ruins, We didn't have as long as I would have liked to walk all the way up to the main castle, but we just didn't have the time, perhaps we will when we go back :) because I promise we will be going back to Portugal!
What we did get to see looked like something out of a fantasy novel. Incredibly old, these ruins were built in the 10th century by the Moors.
